This is the 4th or 5th iteration of an ever-evolving blog. Milla Light had very humble beginnings as a series of rambling email updates back in 2004 when, as a student in Taipei, I had plenty of time on my hands; time I used to take full advantage of the vibrancy of my surroundings, and to document the adventures I had.
Fast forward to 2022, by way of Beijing, London, New York, Beijing again, Recife and Yangon, where I find myself time poorer but just as eager to explore my new home in Mumbai. This time around, I hope not only to record things for my own reference, but also perhaps to bring together a useful collection of anecdotes that might help another traveler/ mother/ visitor.
Being, as I am now, a mother to a perpetually effervescent toddler, I find my adventures less as a result of thrill-seeking, and more in the course of trying desperately to maintain some kind of ‘normal’. Whatever that is, in this almost-post-COVID world.
